WSaS is delighted to be taking part in Smart Maritime Network (SMN) Athens, a virtual and in-person conference at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso on 15 June 2021. For the first time ever, the event will include a ‘fireside chat’-style conversation between WSaS’s Chief Global Digital & Information Officer and Chairman of DCSA, Andre Simha, and Henk Mulder, Head of Digital Cargo at IATA – encapsulating the collaborative spirit that is driving the digital transformation of our industry.
The event is part of a series of international conferences organised by SMN to facilitate cross-industry exchange and discussion, with a particular focus on how technology can be harnessed for sustainability, growth and the future of shipping. These highly anticipated events bring together experts working in digitalisation in the maritime and transport sector, from ship owners and managers to software companies and start-ups.
Special Focus Session: Cargo’s Digital Future
From 16:15 EEST (15:15 CET), we will be taking to the virtual stage – live from IATA’s headquarters in Geneva – to share their experiences of digitalisation, standardisation and collaboration, in the airfreight and maritime industry.
After giving individual presentations, both senior leaders will take part in an informal chat about ‘Cargo’s Digital Future’, finishing with a Q&A session aimed at harnessing the past, the present and the future for the years to come and the next generation. This inspiring discussion will offer participants invaluable insights into important subjects such as innovation mindset, change management, teamwork, and more.
